Pure Turbo
I have a 1999 7.3
some of you may remember but I have been having a whole lot of trouble with my truck burning oil and have yet to solve the problem.
So far I have replaced
injector o rings
Valve stem seals
And done a compression test. All cylindeis were at 380 except #5 at 320.
there was no oil in my down pipe and we ran and revved up the truck with the plenum deattached and a piece of paper in front of the turbo outlet but no oil splattered out. I at that time ruled out the turbo as the issue. However the blue smoke is getting really annoying and I am thinking about just going ahead and rebuilding the turbo because I don't know what else could be the issue.
I am looking to use pure turbo. You can send your entire turbo to them and they will rebuild it for $400 or you can order the kit for $150.
They have a billet wheel kinda like the wicked wheel. I do not have a tuner on my truck and do not plan to. I want to run it stick to minimize issues however i wouldn't mind a little more power if I could get that from this bullet wheel... I have heard that the wicked wheel can actually decrease power but this is I think a newer more advanced wheel.
What do y'all think about the wheel?
Do you think the turbo could be the problem?
Has anyone used pure turbo before?
Thanks,
Marshall
