Hello all, new member. Got an old 89 f250 HD. Clean body and interior. Trans and engine work great. Body needs paint, but is straight. Going to use it to tow my boat and hopefully a trailer, if I can get it dependable.
it has a lot more drive train issues than I anticipated. I got ripped a tad I'd say but not to bad lol.
Took to shop hop to check over after noticing some vibration " after I bought it" not the brightest in himd sight. Truck is all stock other than engine replaced with crate motor in 2003 and supposedly trans was rebuilt also with shift kit. Feels like it was, shifts great. Motor has about 50,000 miles on it. Runs smooth.
Needs all carrier bearings, or at least recommended. And some u joints, front end seals and more. Only way the truck is worth investing in is if I fix it myself. So I'll have questions. 4 wheel drive works good. Mechanic said truck sat for awhile so most
of the seals are bad.
