Oil Filters

I've seen a few threads and replies talking about oil and oil change intervals but nothing on filters. I'm wondering what you guys are using for Oil Filters. I know not all filters are the same. Currently I'm using a M1-405 Mobile 1.

Warranty purposes, this.

Well, I don't worry too much about that. The filter would have to cause a failure to cause denial of warranty due to Magnuson-Moss . I'd say that's an extremely rare scenario. No different than the masses of us running T6 oil. It's not Motorcraft but has never been accused of causing a failure and denial of warranty...

I trust either Motorcraft or WIX. They are both great filters...

This where I order my filters. They don't have the new canister fuel filter yet though.

Motorcraft filters = Racor. And as far as diesel fuel filters at work we have purchased many different brands over the years and once you open the outer box, the plastic baggie that houses the O rings for the filters always has the same part number on it (RACOR) so I'm going to say they will remain the diesel filter supplier.

Take them apart and see what they are made of. I try to buy Fleetgard whenever possible. They have a consistent high reputation in the manufacturer's recommendation and the commercial truck industry. Not well known since the local K-Mart or any of the local chains do not carry them.

You are right. Your link to the motocraft filter says it will not fit a 2017.
Got a different #?
