AGGGHHH I HAVE A 1990 F150. I HAVE REPLACED THE LIGHT SWITCH AND SWITHC PLUG. INSTALLED NEW BATTERY. THE CHARGING SYSTEM WAS WORKING GREAT NOW IF I CHARGE THE BATTERY OVER NIGHT IT WILL BE DEAD BY THE AFTERNOON. THE GAUGE MOVES AS RPMs INCREASE SAYING SYSTEM IS CHARGING.
ANY HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPTECIATED. THANKS AHEAD OF TIME

Make sure the glovebox light isn't staying on after you close the lid. You should see the light go off just as the lid is closing. Also verify the same for the underhood light. Chances are you may have a defective battery.

Unhook the Battery overnight, come out in the morning and hook it back up and see what happens, if it is dead, it is the battery as previous stated, if it starts or turns over, you have a problem in the electrics in the truck of a parasitic drain or to high of a drain on the battery, if this is the case get a cheapo test lamp, not a Snap-On they are to sensitive, put the test light between the negative battery cable and the negative battery post, the test lamp should light, start pulling fuses until the light goes out.
