Green-MAC I am having a little trouble with my 93 F150 with a 300-I6, mazda 5 speed. I am new to the site so bear with me if I put to much in one message. Recently I started getting a low rattle on initial acceleration I think its the U-Joints but how do check them for sure and is it coomon for these to go? I have 138k on the truck and the U-joints were replaced about 60K ago.
It’s hard to check the u-joints unless you take them out.
It very well could be the u-joints, any thing can happen in the span of 60k, so I think its time to change them out.
U-joints don’t cost much, I just bought some for my front drive shaft, and they were only 8 bucks a pop, and they were greaseable.
Anyway its cheap insurance, so I think you should buy new ones.
