hey guys, would like your inputs on an issue im having. I have a fuel pressure gauge in my truck that I installed a while back. As of yesterday when I turn the key to just on but not to start it the fuel pressure only goes up to like 5-10psi if that, and before it always went up to 60psi around. So anyways I start it and after about 15 seconds the pressure starts to go up and sits at about 55 psi. I don't like starting the truck when it's reading almost 0 psi. I've been noticing lately the fuel pressure has been going lower when stomping on it to, before it never went lower than 50psi , but some days it will dip down to 40 range. Any input would be appreciated

Howdy,
Welcome aboard!
If your gage is correct ( and I'd verify that first btw) you need to stop driving your truck until you fix it!
Low transfer pump pressure can damage injectors!
You need to investigate what's causing it. Fuel filters, HFCM pump failing, etc.....
I'd suspect and inspect the regulator. If there is any deformity of the rubber seal, replace it with a new kit.
The one above gave similar results as you described. When I initially took it apart the rubber seal was partially out of the groove. This seal is where the fuel regulation is released. If it is not sealing correctly the fuel bleeds around it resulting in low and/or fluctuating pressure.
If that looks fine after inspection, you could dead head the pump and check pressure. Also it is possible the pump is drawing air on the suction side. It could be a leak in the line or if you have a 1/4 tank of fuel or less it could be a broken pick up in the tank.
