Need Turbo Help

In the midst of my E99 upgrade and stumped.

Adding 2003 van turbo, pedestal and turbo installed. Truck has 4" SS exhaust. Van turbo has smaller exhaust outlet, what is the remedy for this?

Thanks,
Mark

No, they're not even close. The F series trucks' turbo outlets are huuugggge with about 8 bolts holding them in place. The E series' are much smaller and only have three bolts holding them on.

Well thank you, I just learned something. Never ran one myself. Just figured they were the same.

That's because the truck turbo outlet contains the wastegate flapper valve, and the van turbo has no wastegate.
I suspect that the truck outlet causes a lot of turbulence in the exhaust flow, because of the funky shape/volume where it opens up for the wastegate. Instead of flowing smoothly, directly out and into the downpipe, the gases have an opportunity to expand ( and slow down) into that extra volume, and probably tumble and cause a turbulent restrictive flow. All else being EQUAL (which isn't really possible to do), if the truck turbo had an outlet shaped like the van one ( with the wastegate removed) , it would likely flow better.

Is that what the 'high flow' outlet would do? I have heard of it but never knew what it was or did until I started looking at this thing.
