painted bumper
how well do painted bumpers hold up to the elements, bugs, rocks, etc...?
may be switching my order to a platinum, but i’m not a fan of the bumpers and concerned about them looking beat up fairly quick.

My 13 Platinum is just starting to show the very first signs of rust under the paint. It is only noticeable up close. I kept the paint chips touched up. My guess is the bumper will need to repair blasted and repainted after 5 years to keep the truck looking new from 10 foot.

My 99 RED XLT looks amazing for 19 years old. Crew Cab 7.3. Sold before I wanted to. Price was right and the Tranny started to scare me a little. All original. Ridding the Harley and Rain is here, Having fun waiting and a lot of " I CAN'T WAIT TELL IT'S HERE ".

Get a clear bra put on it. Holds up great, not noticeable and fairly inexpsensive compared to having to repaint a bumper. Talk to the vinyl wrap or window tint guys in your area to find out who does it.
