My Posts is missing

I used to use it, but it disappeared on me as well. I decided to try the nextgen style, and nowwhen I hover over the picture(avatar) that now appears next to my username in the upper right of the screen, a pull down menu appears with User Control Panel, My Profile, My Posts, and other such things. This first happened to me about a week ago. It turns out I like the next gen so I'm sticking with it.

In doing some research, what has happened is there used to be two places on the right hand side showing my username in the old default format. One is the small print Welcome, CharlyG and it is as it was. However on the black row where FOrums Galleries Tools etc are, and to the left of the search bar, our username appeared there and it had the pull down menu with My Posts.

Hmmm, when I click on a persons user name next to their avatar, I get a drop down menu (always have) but never have I seen a My Posts link. As well, when I hover with my mouse pointer over the avatar, nothing happens, nor has it ever.

Yeah, they removed that avatar that used to be up there, and they removed the Live Feed link too, which is frustrating.
