Aftermarket engine controller?

I don't know if this is the right place to post this. If not, accept my apologies and pls direct me to the right place.

I have a '96 E350 with a 7.3L powerstroke. I'm using the chassis and drivetrain for a ratrod and would LOVE to be able to toss out the bulk of the wiring harness and the computers. Does anyone know of an alternative to the stock engine/transmission controller? Or am I looking for something that doesn't exist. Thanks so much in advance!

It doesn't exist.

However, here's what you'll start with and what you'll end with (just the basics):

Your early van will be similar but not quite as much....this is a 2002 into a 1973 so there's ABS and ESOF (electric shift transfer case module).

Pared down, there really isn't that much wiring, just a lot of time with a wiring diagram deciding what is actually needed.

Thanks for the quick reply

Thanks for the reply. I was hoping that there might be something in the aftermarket.

Your harness looks great after you gave it a diet. Time for me to start going through the wiring diagrams and give my harness a haircut.

Sorry, no aftermarket controller. Depending on what you are wanting to do, an earlier model IDI motor (pre-94) would be much easier on the electrical side.
Powerstroke rat rods are very cool but it depends on your skill set if it is easy for you to do
