C4 conversion

The Speedway C4 for flathead conversion will only fit '49 and up. What makes the '48 different that this kit won't work on it? Does anybody make a C4 conversion for the '48?

They've had that described that way forever, it causes a lot of confusion. Cars didn't get the 8BA until '49, that's why they say that.

Can't say anything for their early stuff but Flat-O-Matic's Y Block stuff fit like it was made for it (and it was).

OBTW Gene (owner) is good people.
