Running boards: Ionic Gladiator

I didn't get the factory running boards because of how low they drop below the body/frame line. The AMP steps are just out of my budget. So I went in search of something that would ride high and tight, and not break the bank. I may have found my match: Gladiator Running Boards from Ionic.

Anyone have experience with this company and their steps? You usually get what you pay for, and these run UNDER $300 for the pair. What am I missing?

Pictures (not my truck) with them on a 2017:

Forgot to add--- these remind me a lot of the running boards that come from the factory on the F150. High and tight, nice and streamlined with the body.

They do look good and I assume they aren't too high for an easy step?

I like the looks a lot and they add a little side splash protection.

The f150 boards are the same as the superduty, they just have shorter mounting brackets. Im like you, i like the tight look, so i plan on swapping the SD brackets with some from an f150. They should bolt right up since their the same cab. heres video where it looks like they had the smaller brackets on.

Thank you for sharing. I like the look. I ordered my truck without running boards for the same reason. I was leaning towards the Magnum RT steps, but I'm concerned the step is too small.
