I saw this over on another board and had to share it. The best i can figure it is Fords answer to Dodges "that thing got a hemi" comercial.

Nice, can't wati to see this one when it comes out....they need to pull the cars off the trailors and drag them also..

They have a lot of bs commericals. I remember when chevy had a truck that was 100 times bigger then anything around it and then ford had a commerical of a truck pulling a huge tanker thru the ice. The dodge and ford commerical has to to be good. I can't wait to see it.

Yeah jayhawk the corvette dudes were dissing that crate motor. I read in hot rod awhile back that chevy wants to get the vette up to 500 hp in the next couple of years. They want it to be comparable to the viper. Its for the 2005 motor. The article is in october 2001 issue. My point is the new 400hp mustangs will be out and then the vette will have another 100hp on ford.

Well comparing a mustang to a corvette? ain't no way if the dday EVER comes that the stang whips the vett, (comparible models) then it is over man.....vette is done...lets compare the stang to the camaro...oh wait what camaro? haha

I liked the Ford commercial where they were towing a C-46 to put it away. And you know what, it is possible to make it lift off just like it did! I know for a fact. That was cool. Now the HEMI Himlech (I know I can't smell) commercial was just gross.

Yeah the plane commerical is more bs but it gets peoples attention and I have to chuckle when they come out

A C-46 (which is what they used) will lift off at 60 knots fully loaded, around 45,000lbs depending on the aircraft. But generally you tow a tail dragger from the tail.

13 is correct that commercial is theoretically feasible...do not know it has ever been tried, but it should be possible getting it to stop without hitting the lovely ford...antoher story...

Meh,

Corvette vs. Mustang? Not really cool. Should compare Ford GT vs Corvette roflmao.

And in the first post they trashed the ford alot..bah still good pictures anyway.

And the second thread posted, I was reading some of the crap and again they were talking smack about Ford...I wished I could find the link to that monster Ford Bronco project I had before...they were using an overbored 460 aluminum block ended up being over 600cubes? Meh there chevy guys. There is a few corvette guys on here I'm surprised they trash talk that much over there (corvettes aren't really just chebbies...and since some of their owners have enough sense to not drive chevy trucks

You know how they said they would like to see the SS race?? They must have forgotten about the lightning... in fact, I think that the Harley Davidson F150 *might* beat it...
But they did have a point about "marketing 101".

muchtomydelight: They wanted to race with a trailer towing a old vette on it. I think we could do that...how about a F-250 short box reg cab with a 6.0PSD in it...towing an old mustang. Let's find the steepest grade we can and have a dead stop at bottom.



I really dont think the 454 in the SS can pull half as well as the 6.0 and with a F250 reg cab/short box the weight wont be disgusting on our truck...we would win hands down >
