Hi Guys I want a Bump.... 67-69 Short Box would like a 302, with 4speed, But 6cyl three on the tree would be ok.
I would use it as a Daily Driver so Don't need a Perfect rust free body.
I have a 1960 F100 I would like to Sell/Trade if any one is interested.
Unless someone put the 302 in a truck, the 302 wasn't available in the Bumpsides until mid-year '69. None factory installed with a 302 from '67-up to the middle of '69.
Not that an engine can't be changed but, in '67, available factory engines were 240, 300 or 352.
Since there are a multitude of cities named St. Francis, it might help to list your state. Someone nearer to you may just know where there's a truck like you're looking for.
I have a short bed '69 F100 Ranger. At the time I was looking for a truck like this, I initially wanted either a body in white or one in blue and with a 302. After 5 months of searching, I didn't end up with either of these preferences. I got a truck that was Norway Green (dark green) and with a 240 and a C-4 automatic.
It was evident, early on to me, that a solid body was more important than finding a truck with the 'right' color and the 'right' engine. The engine (and color) could always be changed later.
Good luck with your search in finding what you're looking for.
I can do a fair amount of all of the above. I just think it would be nice to have a Ready to Drive or close to Ready Fixer upper and work on the rest as time allows.
Some people look for a good body, because they either can't do body work, or don't want to pay to have it done. (I am one of those guys)
Others look for a solid running, reliable drivetrain and mechanicals, because they are better at body work.
I'm dreading having to replace my floorboards and cab mounts. I'd much rather take the engine out and apart, or drop the transmission out.
I wanted a solid (or as solid of a body as I could find) because I did not want to eat up LOTS of my time and my money trying to rectify rotted body panels.
As far as the engine and drivetrain goes, I have a fuel injected 5.0L or a 351W I can fuel inject to put into the truck so, the 240 wasn't a show-stopper as far as what engine the truck came with.
The C-4 will get replaced by a Ford 4R70W electronically-shifted 4-spd. overdrive automatic.
I would like a truck that is good condition, not perfect a little rust is ok as long as it is repairable .I would like a good Running Engine prefer a newer 302 or a 6cyl, good Tranny.
I want it to be a Daily Driver not a show truck. Prefer a 67 68 69 in that order of preference.Must be a short Box.
Depending on shipping costs I would like to be into it for 4000.00 or less
I was hoping to get 3600 for my 1960 Daily Driver (would like to sell that before I buy a new one)

I cannot speak for your area just where I live and other west coast cities. To find a running, driving low rust v8 4 speed truck that could at all be considered "Daily Driver" you are going to spend quite a bit more than that. I found a no rust truck 4 years ago up here, no engine, no transmission had not been driven in 15 years or so for $1500 and that was a steal.
These things have caught on with C10's being harder and harder to find and a few cool bumpsides emerging from the woodwork the price on these trucks especially a short bed have gone up considerably.
