vented fuel cap?
does anyone know where i can find a vented fuel cap for my 79 f250? ever since i swapped to fuel injection ive noticed a smell of fuel coming from the back of the truck and yesterday i finally found whats happening. the tanks are building up pressure and letting gass weep through the top seal of the tank. all seals and hoses are new and it still does it. i also noticed that if i undo my gas cap i hear it releasing the pressure and the leaking stops... untill next time i drive the truck

vented fuel cap?
Any auto parts store should be able to get one for you..... in the lookup book, there will be a cap for a truck with evap emission controls, this will be sealed.... there will also be a cap for a truck without evap controls, this will be vented. Make sure it is for the right tank location, i.e. cab or under..... if they don't have a vented cap for your year listed, keep checking back one year at a time, and you should find one.... I know they list one for my 77 with a frame mounted tank.
