'66 F350 sittin' around!

Hi folks,

I might be breaking a forum rule here (newbie and this is my first post)... please let me know if I am.

A few years back (2012) I got hold of a nice old '66 F350 - figured it would be something I could fix up, perhaps put a flat deck on, putter around with. In any case I never got around to any of those things and it's been mostly sitting around. Kind of sad for a beautiful old truck like this not to be put to better use, so I am probably going to part ways with it... but I have no idea what it's worth - any one here got any suggestions?

As far as I can tell it's the 81B body, with the 352 in it (not sure about the transmission). Fires right up (even when it's been sitting for a while). It's only got 60,XXX miles on it... In '66 it was sold as a cab & chassis and has a factory installed Vanguard camper on the frame (some water damage but very repairable).

It's got a bit of rust on each quarter panel right behind the wheel, it needs a new exhaust system from headers back, and it's running the old 6 bolt widow maker split rims.

Any ideas what something like this would be worth?

Any help would be much appreciated.
Thanks,

Erik

Sequence these three codes are stamped on the 2nd line of the Warranty Plate:

BODY C81: C = Medium Green Crush Vinyl & Medium Green Cody Pattern Woven Plastic / 81 = 81B Custom Cab.

TRANS A = New Process 435 4 Speed Manual Transmission.

AXLE 22 = Dana 70 Rear Axle / 4.83-1 / 7,400 lbs. Rear Axle Capacity.

Thanks for the info Bill... I am obviously mistaken. Body is definitely 81B - though I won't be able to check on the transmission until I get home. I'll make the corrections in my post. Thank you!

The warranty plate will not say 81B on it. The truck looks really nice. What part of BC are you in?

Thanks! I'm about 1 1/2 hours north of Kamloops - in the Clearwater area.

Thanks RangerMercMan.... any idea what this thing might be worth? I'd be willing to swap it for snowmobile, motorcycle or a pop-up style truck camper (Palomino, etc.). Willing to deliver as well... for a fee.

Sorry I don't especially without looking at it. I believe there is a guy in your neck of the woods whom has several of the 60's trucks parked along hwy 5

Yeah, I know the place you're talking about. I searched around on the internet a bit... I'll just put it out there for $6000 and see what happens. Thanks!
