FX4 Level II
It's not a race car, My wife's 97 Sable Rides nicer on the highway than my brand new 4,000 kms Fx4 Levell II. But What a MACHINE off road.
The Manual Transfer Case comes with the 5 speed manual Transmission
No Hubs for failure, front end always in drive. the four wheel drive engages at the transfer case.
The Gas Mileage averages 20 MPG if you drive sanely in town.( I 'm the slowest guy off the line.)
It still has the 4 litre with plenty of kick . It Really Climbs Well!
The power group is nice ( Imobilizer, Keyless entry, power windows )
I use this Truck in the mountain areas of British Columbia, We have very rugged terrain and unpredictable weather.
I thought my 90 Xlt Supercab 4x4 2.9L 5 sp. Manual Transmission, Hubs & Transfer Case, 175,000 miles 11years. could go anywhere..
But this Thing.......Wow..
Bottom line: It's not for driving to work in the city.
When I was looking at trucks a few weeks ago, I noticed that the Level II still had the "old" driveshaft that is notorious for problems. The FX4 next to it had the updated one. And who knows if the Torsen diff. will hold up for 150K? But I think that overall, the Level II is only worth it if you DO absolutely spend most of your time off road. I personally picked the FX4 and used the extra cash for more convenience options. I can still drive anywhere someone with a Level II can go if I need to, but for everyday driving I like the extra options on the inside. Just a matter of what you need I guess.

I am not sure how much more the Level II was over the Off-Road,
But I think it was only $ 600.00 .
Anyway, I thought the Level II was fully loaded ?
what else did you get?
I saw your pics, Nice looking Truck..
