zinc plating?
i dunno if this falls into the category of truck tech, but i was wondering if there were any adverse effects in rattle can painting over zinc plated (grade8) hardware? does paint stick ok?

It is best if it has been in the weather for six months. There is probably a way to treat it to get the same result.
