I know someone on here has said they've used them, but, I wondering who of you guys has used a dentside core support? I have a near perfect one, just wondering what the mods are that need to be done to make it work? So far, I can see I'll have to make new holes for the front of the inner fenders.
I'm using one on my 71. From what I mocked up so far I can tell acouple of the inner fender bolt holes don't line up. Along with the lower grille mounting tabs. Not sure about the hood latch as I need to fabricate that since I'm running a Intercooler up front.
1967/72 F100/350 & 1973/79 F100/350 with round headlamps: TWO different radiator supports for each generation.
The radiator supports used with the Super Cooling radiator (approx.: 26 1/4" wide x 24 1/4" high) have a larger opening radius than the radiator supports used with the standard/xtra cooling and A/C radiators (approx.: 26 1/4" wide x 19 1/4" high).
I have a 73 support on my 70. As mentioned earlier you have to drill a couple holes for the inter fenders. The hood latch and the brackets for the top of the grill. All are easy to locate as you are putting it together.
I'm using a 75 rad support and like OP said a few holes need to be drilled. As, I remember only had to make one square hole for one of those u shape clips with a nut for the upper latch support rod.
Drilled 1/8" hole in each corner like a one inch square then used my dremel with a cut off disc came out perfect.

So, here is what I ended up doing. I needed 3 holes per side to attach the inner fenders. I marked and drilled the holes, then used 5/16 U-clips, using a die grinder to shape the holes for them to slide in. Worked like a charm. You can see the 3 hole locations in the first pic, noted by the arrows.
