This is close to what i want it to set like after the engin/trans is in

I haven't done the shackles yet ...because i forgot to go to atlas spring and axle to buy the weld in bushings (to go through the frame) so that has to wait for now the rear of the leaf spring is just setting on the frame on a flat plate the shackles should lift it about 2 or3 inches and engine/trans should drop it about 4 or 5 guessing

I got a pic of the body line it lines up well
The screw has a slightly different shape at the bottom of the cab compared to the bed but its really not noticeable unless you are looking for the difference

That is a lot of work, especially for one person.

So is this what you plan on the ride height being? Seems high, but with the smaller tires it always looks like that.

The tires aren't really that small. .they are the 37 inch military tires. ...i do want the truck to be big but its going to be mildy my daily driver/tow rig and im thinking it will come down some after the engine/trans goes in ...cummins 12valve 518atrans 208 tcase..im figuring that all weighs about 1700 pounds ..should lower the truck several inches ...the plan was make it taller without the weight and it should set rite after its all together .....

Ive done the whole truck by myself except dragging it from the back of the property to the front to work on it and setting the bed on

So i have actually cut up 2 ford f150s and 1 first gen dodge 4x4 1ton cummins to build this truck (got to love building toys)
Sometimes I think the cutting up stuff is just as awesome as building things
So i didnt get all i planned done this weekend but imo i made pretty good progress and ill be back on it next weekend unless weather or something (life or wife) dictates other wise

Not bad for a weekends work.

I forgot diesel is so heavy, that will take a couple of inches of height for sure.

My plan is to build the back suspension with 6 inch blocks to be as tall as the front is then set the engine/trans and then i can put smaller blocks in the rear to level it i have 6s,4s and 2s ....but can buy others

Id love to do it with the 4s then end up with no blocks ..but since the engine/trans is so heavey im worried about it not working out in my favor .so ill go big and hope i can still end up with no blocks
I guess we'll see how it turns out
