Ok guys I need a new clutch kit, I usually just use the one from o,Riley but I see I can get a luk kit for about the same price, how good are they and what do ya,ll think, no mods and I don't pull very much.
Thanks jim
I just ordered a LUK clutch kit for around $300 for my 96. I bought the kit with the flywheel since my dual mass flywheel came apart. The kit had everything thing with it, hardware and throw out bearing as well. If your truck still has the factory flywheel, it might not be a bad idea to swap it out. Mine just let go and broke my zf 5 speed.
Mine doesn't,t have the duel mass fly wheel, it was already changed out when I got it about 5 years ago,it has 362000 miles on it,just wondering if anyone has used the Luk clutch.
I put my luk in at about 80,000 miles. mow at 260,000. truck is towing about 80% of the time.
the load in my signature is 27,000 + lbs.
my son's flywheel is getting noisy, was talking to the manager at orilly's and he said their power torque set is made by luk. I have installed many of their power torque clutches in powerstrokes, cummins, my daughters K10 my wife's Wrangler and no problems.
