I am not going to try it.. I have some black powder for a couple pistols I have.. Gave away several pounds to people that shoot black powder cartridges.. Ended up.with it in a trade so really didn't cost that much..

The pistols are easier for sure Steve. No need for a paper cartridge.

The inlines are nice since they take percussion caps. And you can use the blackpowder substitute pellets instead of the loose powder.

Sounds good Steve. The pistols are easy. You can load them right from a powder measure. Just measure out a powder charge, pour in to the cylinder or the barrel, add the lead ball, put a wad on itit is is a revolver so you dont get a chain fire and your good to go.

I think some people use grease to seal from chain fire and lubrication.

Some use grease or lubed wads or patches. Some use oatmeal or bore butter to seal the chambers on the revolvers.

The conversions are nice if someone wants the old style revolvers with modern convenience.

Smokeless or traditional blackpowder. It is all fun for me.

That it is Steve. I know the outdoor range I use now is members only. If you are not part of a club and then have a range badge on top of that you cant get in to use the facility unless you are a guest of a member of it is a public time period.

They have a couple ranges within 50 miles that are free ranges. There is a member only range also..
