good evening all... i was not in joplin and it rained here most of the day.. but i did manage to get a little done.. i got bullet starting from inside the cab (had to bypass the neutral safety switch for now).. i had the instrument cluster hooked up for a bit some things were working most were not... jeff it does have a good working dome light.. ha ha ha ha ... have to change out the charging system wiring since the 2 wiring harness's are so different.. it is slow but it is getting there...

rich do you still have copies of the schematics for the 78-79 trucks.. not sure which i need.... this guessing is not getting me too far too fast...

Spent the day in training next door to the Licking fire department. Since the Chief of the department was also in training, I got to check out their equipment. Would you believe that little old Licking has a freaking Unimog as one of their fire trucks?

Haven't ever been able to get that close to one so I took full advantage of the opportunity to check it out. Sorry - it just occurred to me that I should have taken some pictures.

Evening All!

I got most of the exhaust done on Mongo. I had to order a 90 degree elbow to sneak it out in front of the rear tires. There's still a leak at the manifold, but I don't think it'll be worth worrying about for now. There's a long list to get squared away for next month, and tick in the exhaust isn't high on that list.

Sounds great RC! Has it moved on it's own? Lol

Still plan on heading your way on Saturday morning. Stopping at the yard first. Did you get that light blue tailgate and hardware ? I'll bring the trailer to pick up that project. Anything I should bring with me?

Good Morning Everybody!

I hope to get the exhaust buttoned up on Mongo today, then get back on the Chevy pick up. I got the outside of the doors shot yesterday, so I have some body work on the cab and passenger door to do, then assemble everything.

Afternoon All!

I got the exhaust done on Mongo. It turned out pretty good, ...if you overlook the fact I set my armpit on fire. ....oops.

I also got the Chevy in and the passenger side door straightened and the first coat of mud down. I hope to get the mud and primer done today, then paint tomorrow.

Now there's something you don't see every day. I sure hope you didn't get burned too bad because who wants to use anti-stink on a burnt pit.

good evening ford fans.... siting here in huntsville texas,, not real bad of a trip ..except for the 4 hours sitting in traffic 20 miles north of texarkana... ..dang truckers trying to beat each other to the road construction 1 lane road.. trying to save a few seconds cost 6 of them their trucks.. and a few hundred people 4-5 hours of sitting in the hot 90 degree sun.... i almost got mad about it
