Happy thirsty Thursday Nevada and friends.
Nothing special planned today, just some light packing, and renting a storage unit. Will be moving into Vet's Plaza tomorrow, and moving all my belongings to the storage unti on Saturday with the help of some friends. Vet Plaza is a converted apartment building owned by the VA and used to house homeless vets. I can stay as long as 2 years, but really only need a month or two to find an apartment that takes section 8 and move in. After finding one, I have to get HUD to come out and inspect, and that usually takes two weeks.

Hey Jim good luck on your move! Just my two cents on bedbugs, They are notorious hitchhikers and extremely difficult to eradicate from structures. When you move your personal belongings, I would suggest you put every thing in large black bags and set them out in the sunshine for several sunny days. Heat kills the little buggers! and you won't be dragging them with you to your new home. Hope this helps you!

Yeah, all my clothes are in bags already (from the spraying) and everything else will go in boxes. The recliner where most the bed bugs were, is already covered in a mattress encasement, and the recliner was drenched during the last spraying. The pest control person recommended I keep the recliner covered for at least a month or two in order to insure any bugs that survived the spraying will die, as well as any eggs laid. I have not seen any baby bugs since I got rid of the plywood. Have seen an adult or two tho.

Me too. I am so tired of dealing with them.
I found a 3 bedroom 2 bath apartment on CL for only $600 a month. But I don't know if they take section 8. Been too busy to call, but I will call today. That is unheard of even in Fresno.
Of course, it may be filled by the time I get the money together. This payday is gone with the storage rental. They are charging $80 a month here in Fresno, and my friend has the same size unit in Kerman for $40. What a joke.
