I agree. Its strange to me that the 08 filter wasn't designed to go in the earlier models. Filters have been going in auto transmissions for decades, and I dont call the 03-07 models a filter.

I'm usually a 225-250k trans guy. Another reason I was hesitant about doing the swap.

I got one of those swinging needle things in a pod about the fuel. It (spring) hasent fatigued yet.
