I have a 3" straight pipe. Would love to know how I can keep EFT's down, they go up fairly quickly if im hitting about 7lbs of turbo, empty F350 dually longed, on a slight incline. If im driving on flat grounds, 20 EGT = 200 degrees. 35 more going up hill.
That does not sound right even converting Celius to Fahrenheit that is only 392.
Where is the probe?

12 x 100=1200*
you don't want to run these IDI's past 1300, the cast and the aluminum cant take it.
don't drive the truck much right now, because I got things to do to it. and shes not ready, im also doing another truck too lol

don't need a trans temp with a ZF
I could use an oil temp....

Remember that the temps you see depend on where your sensor is. If it's pre-turbo, after the up-pipe? I think 1150 is a good long-term safe number. If it's right in front of an exhaust valve in the exhaust manifold? Might well be a couple hundred higher than that. Post turbo? Probably lower, like 950 or something.

Also, short jumps(60 seconds or so) above that shouldn't be a problem; while the exhaust might be 1300F, the metal around it takes time to heat up. And there is a decent bit of cooling for the aluminum pistons, in the form of oil jets spraying it from the bottom.
So try to keep long-term temps down, short-term spikes probably won't hurt much.

I like the look of the Isspro stuff but it's not the cheapest!

Dash mounted gauges are in a box I built out of some scrap aluminum I had lying around. Not perfect but it gets the job done and I would rather build something than buy it.

I had to add a second fuel gauge, long story, and threw in a voltmeter at the same time. I modified parts of the original ash tray, fabbed up the rest and welded it all together to get the finished product. Since I don't smoke and had other plans for a aux. power plug this turned out to be a great use for the space. As a bonus the wiring for the factory light in the cigarette lighter worked perfectly as dimmable power for the gauges.
