Head-gasket Project
I've been doing some research and I was originally going to go with the MotorCraft Gold coolant. Now I am hearing that there is a silicate additive in it that at higher temps or over a prolonged period "Drops Out" and is one of the main causes of the oil cooler failures. I've been told that I should be using a "Cat 1" type coolant? Any comments either way would be appreciated.
Next, while I have her up on blocks, so to speak, I am going to do a transmission service (automatic). I've heard good things about Royal Purple, but have never used it.
Any and all comments would be appreciated. She only gets driven on the weekends, I have a company truck that takes the brunt of the mileage. I do tow a 22' trailer moving equipment occasionally and various other things when needed.
As usual I appreciate you guys and any advice you can offer.

Ford installed the engine and said "G-05 is good enough".
Change the Gold stuff every 30k if you use it, per Ford's updated maintenance schedule. It doesn't really matter, go with what you feel.
