Any love for the regular cabs?

Very nice, some towing mirrors would look great on it!

This is a thread full of old people. As soon as I saw the title, I knew. A bunch of Top Gun watchin dudes braggin about the glory days of 80's style trucks were gonna start chiming in. Rock on Bruce Springsteen.
I remember when my FIL brought home a 2001 f150 CC from the dealer for the first time. It was the first CC I saw in a half ton. I made fun of him and his small bed. I was telling him that someone who had a sense of humor designed that thing...... and here I am 17 years later with one on order.

2017 Reg Cab 6.5 bed
I just purchased one last week, 2017 regular cab, 6.5 bed. I had a 2015 Crew Cab previously, and that sucker was really hard to park in the parking garage downtown. This one is MUCH easier to park, much easier to maneuver.
Horses for courses, as they say.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I do not check in here very much anymore. But seeing this thread on here has restored some hope for me in humanity. Some real trucks owned buy what I hope are real men. Thank you again.

UPDATE: I found a nice set of 18" wheels and tires (with only 3k miles on them) off of a 2016 XLT for $500 so they obviously look a lot better than the plain jane steel wheels that it came with (which I have for sale with the hub caps and lug nuts for $120 for everything. PM me for more info). I had the steps added since my wife is only 5' 1" and I added some Yosemite Sam mud flaps too.

I bought this 2018 XL longbed yesterday. It has the $2k options package with power windows, mirrors and locks plus the keyless remote, upgraded AM-FM-CD player, cruise control and 40/20/40 seat, among other things. Now if I could just find a nice set of factory wheels for it....

Are you suggesting that trucks with extended or crew cabs are not "real trucks", and the people who buy them are not "real men"?

I know regular cab trucks used to be the norm over 20 yrs ago but today they just look odd and very weird to me.
And no, i`m not bashing owners or potential owners.....it`s just an observation on my part.

I had a guy walk up to me and say he really appreciated the look of my truck. He said he liked the look of the regular cab over the four door models. I have to say that many of the screws and quadcabs are more like SUVs than trucks. Jag
