speedo gears
Can anyone tell me what the color of my speedo drive gear should be for a C6 with 3.89 gears in the back and 28 inch diameter tires running 47 mph at 2000 rpm? I think I did my math right for my gears. I have called a few places locally with no luck in finding someone who actually knows what I am talking about. I have the one for mine but when I did a comparison to a few other trucks cruising down the road I am reading 65 when I am actually going 50. The one I have now is orange. Also if I change the plastic gear will I have to swap the output shaft in the tail of the tranny? Thanks.
