Thanks, I do know what your referring to but imho the bumper is perfect for the truck, I actually like how thin it is and how the fangs are back cut for larger tires. I just added the Marinco inlet for the block heater this morning, makes it a lot easier to just plug the extension cord into the bumper.
Ok, perfect, to each his own . Good addition with the Marinco
That is sweet! i want one now. is it just called the warn classic ?
Yes, I think its called the "Warn classic bumper". Reason being is they made the same design for all 3 makes, Ford, Chevy, and Dodge. I think the bumper was pretty much the same to the untrained eye for the pre 88 Chevys, pre 93 Dodges, and our OBS trucks.. You wouldnt believe how hard these are to find
in my neck of the woods.. I think 99% of them live in Oregon! Lol..
Thanks Glenn, appreciate that.. I've always been a big fan of these bumpers..
The other underlying addition is the OEM grill, I really didnt like the aluminum
aftermarket one; trouble was finding one worthy of putting on the truck..I happened across a NOS unit on CL locally for cheeep so the rest is history.. I capped the leads for the old incandescent driving lights that were mounted in the grill and I'm on the hunt for some appropriately sized LED units to put behind the new grill. I'm not a big fan of LED lights on an OBS truck but if their hidden thats fine... + you cant argue with the amazing lumens they put out drawing very little amps..
I agree, thanks. I guess I gotta eat my words tho. I just hammered all of Oregons CL and not a single Classic bumper to be found, no Reunels, or Ramseys ether...
In the past I've found them out in the Pacific Northwest often...
How many miles are you getting from the BFGs? Was told they are 30k mile tires...so I got the Goodyears.
Appreciate that!
I talked to Rodney Feltz of Feltz tire on Ebay and he says the MTRs will do more miles than the Bajas; I've been considering a set of those. I've had mine on since this last spring; I've probably got 12-15k on them right now, their 3/4 tread or better I'd venture to guess. The long and short of it is these are the 1st set I've had on the truck so I'm not sure what I'll get out of them. I do like them tho. They required 0 wheel weights mounted on my Welds
