intermitent power loss?

Hey guys , i have been getting about a 1-2 second power loss while driving. happened last friday when at a stop light, pressed the pedal and started to go then it dropped out for a second or two and then caught right back up. only cut out twice in 10 minutes then ran fine for another week. This friday oddly enough , it happend again while driving down the road. happened about 5 different times in 10 minutes, then back to normal. i replaced the passenger uvch with dorman ,but not driver side a couple of months ago . Does this sound like the other uvch, or tps?

From what I've read, the TPS faults usually show up with a WOT.

It sounds like it could be electrical (other UVCH), or CPS, or even IPR.

Have you done the in-tank Hutch mod yet? How full is your tank? Did you replace all the rubber lines on the suction side of the pump?

I haven't done anything with the fuel system yet, but want to do the hutch mod.

Get that done first, before you start throwing money at the problem. It's a known and widespread problem with a simple and inexpensive fix (about $50)

No sense chasing sputtering or power loss that could be just air in the fuel lines

At least that's what I would do

Sounds good, been wanting to do the hutch mod anyway. I wasnt aware of the rubber lines on suction side of fuel pump, is this a common problem? Do you just replace the rubber lines, or go back a different tubing?

You should have a short piece of rubber line between the tank and your hard line, then from the hardline to the pump. Not very much.

Use injector hose clamps instead of standard worm clamps (doesn't dig into the line).

That allows you to cut off and completely remove the quick disconnect fittings. I used 30r9, using Guzzle's writeup
