Do you have a bluetooth obdII adapter and Forscan? With Forscan lite app you can monitor all the outputs and inputs for the system.
I'm suspecting your plug though.
If all is working well now and continues to it was most likely a ground or other slightly corroded wire that was making less then stellar contact, and in the process of checking/dis-assembling you cleared the issue.
I found NO corrosion at ANY connection. This is why I HATE intermittent problems - electrical or mechanical ! I SEEMS to be fixed and I have no clue as to that resolved the problem!
UPDATE: I did NOT fix the problem... if fact it got worse and worse. Lost RV brakes almost all the time. Removed the TBC and sent it in to FICMrepair.com for repair... got it back in less than a week. Just got back from first usage of the season and it works perfectly....kudos to FICMrepair.com.
