Just picked up a 1997 Ford F-350 4x4.
It's not bad for almost a 20 year old vehicle. The previous owners did some restoration work on the body and there are new gas tanks, exhaust, starter, alternator, battery, trans cooler .... I just had the trans, and front and rear differentials services, oil change, front brakes, battery ends, and the power steering pump hard line was so rotted it needed replaced, so we had a cooler put in line instead. The pump is nice and quiet now.
The next steps are to do a complete tuneup and make s few cosmetic repairs.
There is some rust on the underside but it's not all that bad for a 20 year old truck from Michigan. Oh and it only has 51k miles.
