rear camera

after a long well worth wait i finally have my truck home, the next step is to upfit the truck, my truck came with the rear camera and harness in a box behind the seat, im installing a dump body and no one that ibe spoken to had the answer, ive spoken to the dealer and the body manufacturer and no one knows where the best place to mount the camera would be without causing damage to it while dumping materials or if i placed it on the headboard high up it would defeat the purpose of the camera, has anyone ever dealt with these camera before? also if its mounted in the center where the plate would go,i will have a sander in the truck durring the winter months, however im not to concerned about that to much, mainly worried about damaging it during dumping materials.. thanks for your help

I would just box it in on the rear of the truck, won't be perfect but would protect it a lot better.

Curious, did you request them to leave the camera and harness in the truck for you? Or was it just there? Always wondered if box delete option would make you lose the otherwise included camera

thats how it was shipped from ford, trying to order a loaded drw was confusing to me and the sales team! many options where not easily deciphered, some options that i wanted 360 view, and a few others for some reason ford decided not to put them in a chassis cab.. i acually wanted the ambulance package, would have given me same duel alt's and heavy suspension, so i had to get snow plow prep(because i plow) then go in a add dual alt. and added 14k springs.. so in we had to build our own instead of just adding an option.. i wanted a platinum without leather so i could get more options.. ford rejected the order...
