I have a feeling there are going to be some changes in 2019, So I think I'm going to wait until mid 2018 to purchase mine. The way I see it is that there should be some incentives ontop of a good trade in value..
Speaking of trade in, what are you guys getting for your 2011-2016 Super Dutys on trade? Did the new model appear to really have an effect on your trade?
I believe my 2016 F450 Platinum should still be relevant for another 2+ years at least.
I know Ford had to be very careful what weight could stay and go, but I do wish they went with a boxed frame with rails that were thicker than 4mm. The current 6.8mm frame seems so significant compared. I'm all about the rigidity of the new frame, but I do wish the new frame had a bit more substance to it. Also, I wish the bed had some type of reinforcement layer of Kevlar or even a polymer. I'm sure the thicker aluminum in the Super Duty is going to hold up fine, but I have a gut feeling that it is going to be reinforced in a few years.
Looking at all these beautiful new trucks and not going out to get one is really hard though. But god willing, I can wait a bit.
Iron...my dad's '17 is due next month as well as mine. He has a 2011 F250 KR CC SB with 85,000 to trade or sell. They quoted him 31,500 for the trade in.
IronCobra,... all I can tell you is don't get near a dealership, or peer into one of the new SD's for the next year and a half! If, (and when) you do... all bets are off. You will be a stronger man than me if you can resist! They are something else. I can not wait for my order. I want to go buy off of a lot today!!
Understand the thought process,... but will be hard. Good Luck!

Too late. I already test drove a Lariat about 2 weeks back and reqlky loved the ride and an awesome interior. When I got home, I wanted my truck to feel new again so After taking all the crap out of my door panels (which made the truck sound so much more solid when going over bumps) my perception is that my truck has a great ride also
You'd be surprised how stuff like bug spray, flashlights, pens, and other crap rattling around Can really make you believe your truck sound old And worn out when's going over bumps.
Heck, just hold out for the 2019 instead of mid year and 2018. Heard they were going to put something new in the 2019... or just wait until April and order a 2017 and get the Memorial day sales bonus next year.

Maybe you should wait until 2019, I hear the 8 speed is coming then. Or you could wait to 2020 and get the 10 speed. Then I hear in 2021 Ford is going to stuff a Cummin ISX in it and put out 625 HP/2050 ftlbs of torque. LOL
You can never time it right as something new is always coming. Good luck with your decision.
