Parking light help

Hey guys

Is anyone able to post a close up picture of an install of a parking light 56 f100? I have a 53 roll pan I have to modify to fit.

Good Luck! I really don't think that a photo is going to move you any closer to your goal. The 53 has a pointy parking light and the 56 has a squared off bezel. Your best (and arguably only) bet is to get a 56 bezel and fit it in place.

I have a 56 parking light. But I have a 53 gravel pan. I'm going to have to cut the gravel pan up for the light to fit. Was just wondering if it sat just on the gravel pan or more so the grille or both.

The pan has a raised area that the parking light bezel covers. I have known people who have cut this piece of the pan out of a 56 and welded it into a slant cab valence but that is a ton of work...if you have the 56 pan to chop up, it's best to use it instead of the 53 pan. The other thing that you have to be concerned about is the placement of the grille on the wind deflectors...it is different for the 56 and the slant cabs. I put a 53 grille into my 56 truck and there were a number of surprises I found.

Looking at your other post/thread on your build...you definitely have some nice fabrication skills. Why not make your own parking light bezels?
