Hi Rob here, Just bought a 1990 short box, 4x4, Xlt Lariat,4.9, pretty rusty, but plan on fixing that. Was walking the dog and saw it with for sale sign and very low tires. The guy selling, a 21 y/o kid said the fuel pump was dead, but found out checking it out the key was not working correctly. I found this site and the youtube video about the ignition actuator rod. Bought a new battery, new positive cable, started solenoid, and took the collar off the steering column and it fired right up. Now I am looking for a new rust free front end, box, and floorpan for the left side. I am sure there are things like the wipers not working correctly I can find in this site that will help. Thanks for a great and helpful site.
