I got 7 flat. Very impressive for a 7,000+ pound truck.

Now turn on the Tow Haul and try it again. If it has the e-locker rear end pull the 4x4 **** out to lock it. It will keep it locked until 20 mph.

How about doing it on a dry road and getting it out of 4wd... 4WD is going to take away speed. Plus he turned traction control off which is already off in 4wd?

Very anti-climatic. And that's a GOOD thing! No fuss, no muss - just get 'er done.

thanks. As a prospective owner I found this one of the more useful comparisons of the engine choices, I'm still in the fence but better informed!

its amazing what the dyno says vs what the manufacturers claim. maybe they measure at the crankshaft but still that wouldn't make sense because these numbers are so far off

Wrong kind of dyno for a turbo diesel
Its like trying to measure tempurature with a shovel

Horsepower is about right

Look here
Add 15% to the baseline numbers for drivetrain losses

Do they not have the sense to recognize the manufacturers rate the power and torque at the crank and they are measureimg through drivetrain? Everyone knows average powertrain loss is 15-20%? Modern day autos stay closer to 15%. After watching the video again im beating my head against the wall.

of course they know of the drivetrain loss but that isn't the point.

chevys claim vs what the video output shows: 24%/16% less power/torq respectively
ford claim vs what the video shows: 12%/13% less power/ torq respectively
ram claim vs what video shows: 12%/8% less power/ torq respectively
