Oh No! I was just talking about the dash pad. Man, that retrofit is gonna take away from the space you have as a driver. You can't exactly move your seat back very much.

Not to mention leg room! Maybe it's for a "vertically challenged " individual?

I wonder when he figured that out. Certainly not until after he hacked the original dash out.
I don't see a whole lot of judgement (good that is ) or planning beforehand. I can't imagine a modern dash that would look better than the original.
I was at the loco PnP Yd. an came across a bump with a modern dash that had lager gaps on the sides. It look about the same as this ugly Red thing above OP. Someone would need long arms.
I would never do that also. I like the Bump dash just how it is. Part of their personality. I do, however, appreciate how 67nukeford adapted a Dentside dash in his. Also a dang good lookin' old skool dash. That red cab with the Super Duty dash makes me wonder what other Super Duty parts he's installing on his rig. Like 7.3L,tranny,PCM,wiring,etc.
was the gauges package difficult to make? mine died when the voltage regulator died and it getting faded and the wiring is hacked. i rewired the engine and it works somday i will update it and moderize it.
It wasn't bad. I've got some pictures I can dig out. I got a plug so I can unplug the dash from the rest of the wiring harness, which was a huge help.
I can go either way on having a dash pad or not. These bumps dash's look good either way with or without. If it doesn't have the pad it has to have the vent covers still it just gives it a good look IMO. That super duty retro fit dash above is just ridiculous. I'm all for the luxuries in these old fords but if you want to throw a bunch of junk plastic and bulkyness in them just buy a new truck and be done with it.
