Good looking truck. Stick around and we will help you out. Do you have a scanner yet? It will help out a lot if you ever run into an engine issue

I ordered a 2.5" front spring lift (levelling kit) for my 97 SC 4x4, I also ordered the carrier bearing drop kit.

Question,
do you think I would need the track bar drop bracket?

Thanxs

No, you do not even have a track bar on the TTB front end. That is only with a solid axle.
BUT you will most likely want so TTB drop brackets so you can align the front end after you put in these zero rate blocks

Also, you do NOT need the carrier bearing drop either. I had almost 8" of lift on my truck and I just used some washers as a spacer.

Thanxs for the info Brad.
I looked under the truck & your right, no track bar bracket.

"BUT you will most likely want so TTB drop brackets so you can align the front end after you put in these zero rate blocks"

I am going with springs but I guess that the same as blocks as it simply raises the front end.

I am a little confused on the TTB drop brackets, I will do some homework on these & if you could please point me in the right direction it would be appreciated.

Googled the TTB drop brackets, levelling out the front end sure adds up, almost better off to get a lift kit.

I have a set of those but they were with a 4" lift, so probably too big for you.

Your BEST bet would be to ditch the TTB all together and go solid axle since you want lift.

TTB and lift do Not go will together

I have bought some parts now so pretty much going this route :-)

I will get the parts needed to align the front as I don't put a lot of miles on it.

Thanxs

With just a 2" leveling kit and stock tires, you should be able to get a good alignment. My truck had a 4" lift and 33" tires when I bought it and the TTB just ate the outside tread.

I have 33" being installed Monday.

I just got off the phone from Suspension connection these are the brackets I need as I have 5 bolts.
Tuff Country # 20853 - Ford F250 Axle Pivot Brackets 1997-1997 | SuspensionConnection.com

I will order these brackets.
3" drop pitman
2.5" front lift (ordered)
Carrier Bearing Drop Kit (ordered)

is there anything else needed?

thanxs
