dipstick tube

I just wasted 2 hours trying to find a replacement dipstick tube for 1988 7.3 IDI. Why is it so hard to find parts for these engines ?

Did you try the obvious source? Probably not.

1988/94 F250/350 & F(Super Duty) 7.3L Diesel:

E3UZ-6754-C .. Lower Engine Oil Dipstick Tube / AVAILABLE from Ford

E8TZ-6754-D .. Upper Engine Oil Dipstick Tube / AVAILABLE from Ford

Plus, Green Sales Co., an obsolete parts vendor located in Cincinnati OH (800-543-4959) has both of these puppies, even though they are not obsolete.
