Well not to be a jerk, but what do people expect with a 10k gvw on the 250? I mean the truck is going to weigh close to 8k pounds. The listed payload is just gvwr minus actual weight.
Quit frankly, Ford should not have different tire pressures listed.
Anyone can safely run 80 lbs. in their rear tires.
That is really the only difference between the capacities.
Kinda silly.
For fun I looked up ratings for my old 2004 F250, and here's what I found. 8,800 GVWR, and optioned out similar to what mine was (pretty well loaded) that would only leave about 800 lbs for payload. 800 lbs was nothing in that truck, and I don't recall ever consulting a door sticker once while I owned it. However, I think that puts things in perspective when today we're griping about a 2100 lb payload rating in basically the same truck. That certainly puts things in perspective.

I mean for 2004 vs new well optioned F250, CC, 4x4, short bed, diesel. Yours is basically the new equivalent of what my old one was. Much improved it would appear.

Actually tires have different capacities (not just pressure). Depending on wheel and tire type also play in to that, not just tire pressure. Also the Rear axles on the F-250 & F-350 have different weight capacities. With that I would never overload my tires or axle, the GVWR is a bit more flexable.
