Today I decided to remove and clean my clutch pedal safety switch because lately it has been acting up. I crawled under my dash and noticed a spring had fallen in behind where you couldn't see it, and realized later that this was the clutch pedal assist spring, it had apparently been broken off by the previous owner. How expensive is this part, and what am I getting into by attempting to replace this part. I noticed there isn't much space up there and it looks difficult to replace. Thanks in advance for your help
hey man,
i think you may be a little luckier than i was...my whole pedal assembly mount broke in half. it sucked real bad. the mount itself was only bout 45 bucks, so i would imagine that the spring in there couldnt be too expensive. it really wasnt very difficult to replace either. if i were you while i had it apart i would replace the mount too. they are kinda cheap and flimsy(take it out and you'll see, its big and weighs nothing....) the hardest part was taking the dash apart(the geniuses decided to run the speedo cable right through the mount bracket). sorry this is so long, hope it helps and good luck
