Looks good for the drw. The srw platinum (mandatory 20# tires) will sit about 2.5# higher, so the difference may be 4+". I'm trying to talk myself into the F450.

Another thing pushing me that way... I will be at or a little over the specs with a srw. My trailer is almost 42' long (spec says 39'11"), about 13' tall with the center of gravity close to 6' up in the air, and around 500 Sq feet of side to catch the wind. That is really near a worst case trailer (for a 5th wheel). If i have to swerve, that's a lot of angular inertia for the truck to handle. When you see testing at the limits, it's always a gooseneck flatbed with stone down low and near the truck.
Pushing the weight limit with an ideal trailer isn't the same as pushing the limit with a near worst-case trailer like my 5th wheel camper... one more step towards the F450.
I'm going from my dually to a SRW. Can't stand the ride of the DRW and it's always fun trying to park or go through drive-thrus. I pull a 15,800lb 39' 5th wheel and the SRW will do fine. It is well below the ratings and I only pull 5% of the time I drive my truck. The other 95% is commuting and living the life!!!

I have absolutely no trouble with my dinasaur 2012 SC SB towing a longer, heavier, taller 5th. It's about personal comfort level. If you need more truck to do the same job, that's fine. It's a personal thing. Go with what makes you comfortable...
