I am looking for the interior door panel trim for my 1965 f100 custom cab. Anyone with any info on where to buy some will be greatly appreciated. I am getting close to finishing this 4 year old project and that is probably the last part I will need. The vehicle is not a complete original restoration , but I would like to keep as much 1965 as I can. Maybe someone has an idea for how to make the door/window handle panel look as good as possible if the trim for the O.E.M. panels cannot be found.
1965/66 use the same trim. 1964 does, too, but the upper piece doesn't have the one recessed screw hole toward the front of the door on each side. Subtle change. Here's 5 of the pieces on eBay and some of the clips. The clips are reproduced by Carolina Classics but I don't believe the trim is by anyone. Hard to tell if these are all in good shape. Looks like two pieces are layed out backwards. Might have some wrinkles in them. Someone else might have a spare set that is complete and in good shape.
Thank y'all for the input. I have been trying to find these trim pieces for a few months now and just recently decided to try F.T.E. and other similar forums. Just goes to show that when people have things in common like old vehicles that they go out of their way to help each other. I had looked into those pieces on e-bay and wasn't so much worried about the asking price as I was about the condition. I am leaning toward getting with my upholstery guy and machinist and custom making something to replace them with. THANKS AGAIN.
Michael: The parts are out there, you just need to be patient, and keep an eye on the classifieds Craigslist, etc), and they will come along. Any time you want something YESTERDAY, you will PAY
So true James. I have the full set from my Ranger but also picked up another set from a buddy when I had the chance. They were really cheap and one never knows when they might buy another truck that is in need of them. Lol. The corner pieces are so often missing. Even if they reproduced just those it would help a lot of people complete a set, I'd be willing to bet.

This is SO true. I am in need of just the driver's side corner for mine and I would pay handsomely to get one. I keep an eye on eBay, but no luck so far. I have seen a set of corners alone sell for $80. I am at the point where I am willing to pay that for the one left side that I need......
I had a set off a 66 for a long time in the f/s section, coundnt even sell the corner pieces,go figure, the set I have has few scratches,sm dings, has some whit paint in spots but should clean off,i think I even have the center dash pieces, also have the stainless grille
I set it up to receive daily Ebay email notices; Ford parts and there was a set at $75, however, it's open for bidding with 6 days remaining, will be interesting to see what the final bid is??
Thanks gangstakr. I am old school (out dated) and having trouble navigating all the nuances of this forum. I hope this gets through correctly. YES... I am very interested. you may contact me by e-mail -michaelguthrie58@yahoo.com- or cell# 210-885-5595. I am located in Cibolo Texas.
I've got a complete set with all the tabs and I also have Butyl Tape for installing. P.M. if interested.
Have you been able to see a difference in the 1964 trim with the lack of the one screw hole in the upper piece? I've seen some like that and Don told me that a few times and I've seen a couple of 1964 trucks that looked like they had the trim originally and it was missing but no corresponding hole in the door where the screw would go.
They should have put a recessed screw hole in the corner piece. The one clip and the way it slips into the other two pieces is just not secure at all. An elbow could knock it loose and the next time you open the door it could fall off.

All 6 of these mouldings have C4TZ (1964) part number prefixes. I looked up the left corner moulding (C4TZ-8120987-A) for the member in post #8. No one has any NOS

Yes, I discussed that with Don before, too. But he showed me some trim that did not have the extra screw hole in them and he said that was a change between 1964 and 1965. I've seen a couple like that on fleabay too. Since mine is 1966 and definitely used the extra screw I wasn't interested in that particular set. I can see how the extra screw helps to keep the upper forward edge in place.
If I see another piece like that I'll have to grab the picture and post it on here.
