4.9 high idle
Thought I would share my experience wih my 93 4.9. Its had a idle of 1200-1400 for about 6 months. Ive checked or replaced every vacuum line, pcv valve, intake plenum gaskets, IAC, TPS, EGR Pipe. No codes, compression excellent all holes, vacuum is steady. Runs fine other than high idle.
This weekend I replaced the throttle body with a JY one and now it idles perfect at 700-800. Not sure why this would of made such a difference. Original one's adjustment screw didn't appear to be tampered with.
