I had an 05 F250 Screw cab with the much maligned 6.0 oil burners.
It did ok by me until I lost it in the Tornado of 2013 when it did a "Gone With the Wind" number.
We replaced with an 2013 F15 4X4 with the 5.0 ltr.
Well things have changed again, we got out of boating and into travel trailers and found that what we wanted to travel in was a bit more than the F150 could tow.
To make a long story short, after a two day flirt with a C2500 we went with a 2016 F250 4X4 Screw cab with the 6.7 oil burner.
Short and sweet, what should I know about this motor?
They are proving to be very reliable. Just feed it good quality diesel from a high volume station and don't put def in the fuel tank or you will cost yourself about 10k. Other than that drive it and enjoy the power.

Is there no justice in this world???
That storm killed your truck, but missed my ex-wife.
Storms are truck killers, we had a huricane hit the Washington coastline a few years back and dropped a 150 foot Sitka Spruce on my 350 from the right rear wheel across the cab, hood everything. Engine and trans were still good but everything else was bent. I cried. I still miss that beast with the 460, C6 and a US Gear Under Drive. Pass everything but a gas station and anything I hooked it to. That's why I had 3 tanks in it.
I love my 2014 with it's 6.7 and the 6 speed auto though.
I'll help with the thread Hi-Jack. Lost my '01 F-350 CC V10 to Hurricane Irene in 2010. I still feel guilty because I moved it to a "safer spot" away from the trees with the big gnarly-looking branches. Instead, the healthy-looking, 65-foot-tall, 44 inch diameter Ash snapped (it was hollow) at the base and (it missed my house, but) fell across the truck right at the windshield. The only things salvageable were the tail gate, spare tire, and the hitch.
Congrats to Bunyon's_Ox on your new ride! I reverted back to a 1995 F-150 for 4 years until I could afford my '15, F-250.
