Borg-warner transfer case

Reading a 4wheel@off-road mag. talking about transfer case upgrades. The article talks about a internal ATF pump in the case on the BW and the Failures with the pick up tube. And if this happens the case is junk. BW are new to me. I've played with the NP203, 205, 208. Does anybody have any answers?? Or is this something I don't Need to bother with?? I have a 2000 EXplorer

Borg-warner transfer case

if i am not mistakin this problem is only on the 13-56 transfer found in the full size f-serioes from the mid 80's to late model 90's. i wouldnt worry bout it in yer explorer.

This happened a few times in my 89 FS Bronco. My 99 Explorer runs a different case than the 13-56 though and I haven"t had any problems (so far). The biggest problem is when you run them outta fluid due to a slow leak.
