I have taken my truck into my local dealership to have rust repaired. I have an F-250 6.7 4x4 Pearl White Superduty with 32,000 miles. I'm not happy with purchasing a $70,000.00 truck and it is rusting at pinch welds on all doors. The rust has started on the roof and inside the sunroof when it's open is visible. However it appears to be rusting from the inside out. This truck doesn't appear to have been prepped correcting from the factory painting procedure. Bare metal in between the pinch welds is where it's starts and veins out. Very noticeable if you clean the inside of doors where the outer door skin is bonded to the inner. My truck is also been garaged. It doesn't sit outside 24/7. I live in Florida.
Has anyone else noticed rusting on a 2 year old vehicle in these areas ?
If owned many Fords in the past and this is the first rust so quickly. I sold my 2001 F-250 7.3 that in its whole 13 years didn't rust like this.
live in fl just found it on my 25000 2016 white super duty looks like it time to pay to get rust repaired and painted out of pocket of course because ford warranty is for rust thru the way i understand it and was told by ford . nice like you say 70 k on a truck total bs all this rust . it a shame life time ford owner . but after this truck i will never own another to may issues . i hope toyota follows with 3/4 oil bunner soon 2019 look like half ton oil burner
Two years ago I was in my local body shop picking up a vehicle and they have an F series in there that wasn't 12 months old with rust bubbling over the wheel arch. Truck looked otherwise brand new. Beyond unacceptable.
