Got to work on the new water heater. I was surprised to see the controls now need 110v. transformed to a few millivolts. Will add a receptacle tomorrow. For now, an extension cord 'cause I like a warm shower.
they ride surprisingly smooth! such a rush to just watch them at the glamis drags as there doing 90+mph over that little hill at the start of the drags and floating the front tires.
haven't seen a new tank type water heater needing a 120V outlet yet, guess ill be doing more water heater plug installs before too long, OR more homeowners reports "suggesting" the extension cord powering them be removed.
I was aware that the mandated efficiency on WH had changed a year or two ago. I wasn't aware that they went to electronic ignition, but it is not surprising. That would be the last pilot lit appliance that most of us have in our homes. I was aware that the insulation values had increased, and that the units are therefore larger in dimension, which could be a second problem for many of us.
And I'll make a deal with you...I won't mention the permit requirement, if you don't.
